1/2 C. butter
1 C. carrots, grated
1 C. potatoes, grated
1 C. bread crumbs
1 C. nuts, chopped
1 C. dates or raisins
1 C. flour, sifted
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
Cream
butter and sugar then add the remaining ingredients. Steam for 3 hrs. Serve with Brown Sugar Sauce.
Brown Sugar Sauce1 C. brown sugar
1/2 cube butter
2 T. flour

C. boiling water
1
tsp. vanilla
Mix
sugar and flour together. Add butter and
boiling water. Cook until thick. Add vanilla.
Serve over carrot pudding.
